The motto for most of us this year....I'll be home for Christmas.
Mostly as a journal entry, I wanted to share my Christmas around our home simply with photos. But, since we won't be having company this year, I also wanted to invite you in for a virtual visit. Welcome!

DeleteBeautiful! Where did you get your cardinal welcome mat? I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jenny. It came from Amazon and the brand is called MatMates (Cardinal Plaid Mat).
DeleteEverything looks so pretty. I love what you did on the balcony. Whimsy and oh so cute. Have a wonderful weekend. xoxo Kris
ReplyDeleteWow! You went all out! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Rose! I wish you the all the merry you can muster in the year of COVID Christmas!
DeleteRita, I love your virtual tour.My eye went right to your cloche full of baby cups sitting on a vintage doilie. Then I really liked your ballerina ornament so appropriate since you were one.
ReplyDeleteYou have an awesome view from your condo for sunrises. I'm so glad you bought some of your garden statuary.
That is the cutest clothes line hanging in the laundry room. I had to get my iPad to zoom in to see all the details.
I really enjoyed your tour. Everything looks festive and so well done. I'm sitting here looking at boxes of decorations that haven't been done.
Have a great weekend.
Ahhh, so much to look at that I have to go back and peek again! I love your plaid mugs, the garland over kitchen cupboards and especially the view you have off your balcony. All of your little touches are so festive and joyful and i love how you are decorating your entry way for each season. I spy the funny bunny, too - he has the best view!! Happy holidays!!
ReplyDeleteRita, as we'll all be home for Christmas, it's nice to see that you and W will enjoy the holidays among a festive setting. I think it is important for us to make our homes feel festive and joyful even if no one else will be there to take it all in. Your view stops me mid scroll every time. Something about being up with the birds to take in the vista!!! Your tartan coffee/tea station catches my attention, and love those cute stamped spoons! I see Santa's wooly friend is still helping him deliver gifts! Made me smile! The cloche full of baby cups, the dancing ballerina, your beautiful holiday pillows, . . . and could go on and on about the festive touches you have added! Well done, Rita! I'm so happy to see this photo tour!
ReplyDeleteMerry, Merry!!!
Rita, Your home is beautiful and festive. Your rabbits scattered about are so cute, especially the one on the balcony. Your fox on the sofa table is adorable! I especially love your nativity display. Thank you for inviting us in for a visit! Enjoy your weekend. Merry Christmas! Clara
ReplyDeleteClara, thank you so much for your visit and sweet comments. You warm my heart with your visits. I hope you make the most of this COVID Christmas, cherish the memories of the best of the past.
DeleteI am enchanted with every photo, Rita. It's simply beautiful, every room, every vignette. Your tree is just magnificent. Thanks for showing my felties, too! I know you will have a most beautiful Christmas, even if it's different than the ones before -- and hopefully, the ones to come after! Merriest!
ReplyDeleteOh, Rita - what a lovely curated special Christmas splash this is. I like you have such an ecletic style. Everything looks so festive and warm. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGrats on scoring Mouse King and Drosselmeyer for your collection. That couldn't have been easy to find.
I agree your stamped silver spoon says it all- yes, ma'am, we will be home for Christmas. Safe and sound and cozy - enjoy wonderful "visits" such as this one to whet our appetites for togetherness. Hugs.
A visual treat Rita. The rabbit peeking over the balcony railing and the small figures with red hats - surprise -
ReplyDeleteThank you for inviting us to see your Christmas vignettes.
Joy
Joy, thank you so much for coming to my virtual open house! I'm happy you enjoyed it. My balcony buddies are what I brought with me from my previous landscape when we downsized to condo living last year, and I enjoy them too.
DeleteHi there, Rita! Long time no talk! I’m so glad to see so many people still engaged with the happiness of the season rather than dwelling on what we’re missing. To create a warm, inviting Christmas space despite...the sign of a real trooper! To make use of something bright and cheery in every corner really brightens the whole place. I do the same. My husband was amazed by the very thought of it years ago but has since come to embrace it.π
ReplyDeleteI love your nutcracker collection! I’m just now kinda getting into them. One creeped me out decades ago, and I’ve been afraid of them ever since!!!π Now I’m enjoying the diversity in them. That shot of the bridge is super!!! I love how the city has decorated along the way for drivers’ (and condo dwellers’!) pleasure.
Have a happy season!
Your decorations are gorgeous! It's a shame that friends and family can't pop in to see it all. Thank you for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteRita, I love your nutcracker collection, stamped spoons, and your whimsical balcony guests! Merry Christmas, Friend!
ReplyDeleteRita your home is lovely. You have really been a busy lady. I don't have half the decorations you do and I am tired. Couldn't possible be age. Love your photo of the city at dawn, it is really pretty. I much enjoyed my visit visit. Enjoy these December days and stay well.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the little bits and pieces make the whole picture--you have so many pretty decorations, collections, and vignettes, all beautifully photographed. I love how you arranged them in your post. Your dawn picture is simply awesome, what a spectacular view!
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, Rita. π
Rita, my Daddy’s favorite Christmas song is I’ll Be Home For Christmas. He said it was quite popular when he was serving in the Korean War. Every area of your home sparkles with Christmas. I love every vignette, but I am most partial to your nativity and the nutcrackers. Your views of the bridge are spectacular and the reflection of your tree is magical. Wishing you a most wonderful time of the year!
ReplyDeleteThat rabbit climbing your railing is just adorable. So many pretty pictures to enjoy this morning! Your plaid mugs are perfect for the season too. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tour Rita! Your condo looks very cozy and Christmasy, I love all the sparkling lights! {And the hats on your statuary!} The views are gorgeous, I would definitely feel comfy in your nest high in the sky!
ReplyDeleteJenna
This post makes my heart happy Rita! There are so many inspiring ideas. Thank you so much for sharing your home.
ReplyDeleteSo festive! So fun! I love the view. Merry! Merry!
ReplyDeleteI love the backdrop of the city that you have! Everything looks so wonderful. You did a great job Rita.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
So much gorgeousness to drink in, Rita. Why, I think one could enjoy many beautiful hours just strolling around your home and looking at each pretty. Oh, and yes, a cup of tea would be lovely please, but first I would like to sink in one of your chairs and gaze upon that view. Why, I think I might chat to that happy little cherub while I wait. Love his red hat, by the way. May you have a blessed Christmas, dear Rita.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful home with so many wonderful holiday touches.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, Rita! Your home looks fabulous, and my goodness that tree! Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed seeing your festive collages of your beautiful decor, Rita! Even if no one stops by, we still feel comforted and cozy in our homes with our special Christmas decorations. Your statuary even got into the Christmas spirit, I see. Your nativity set does represent the Christmas gift! Merry Christmas to you and your sweetie.
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful photos. I love Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Claire Justine. I share your sentiment in my love for Christmas!
DeleteRita, your Christmas decor is so pretty. I love the view from your home! Wow. And I like the hats on the balcony. SO CUTE! Your white Poinsettias are gorgeous. You have so many warm, festive touches. I love the cloche with the lights and mugs. :D I am showing your decor to my daughter. She loves all things Christmas!

Oh, I love seeing your beautiful Christmas treasures. So much detail and personality. Your little Christmas ballerina is precious. Thankyou so much for sharing it all with us. Your view is amazing!xo
ReplyDeleteIt looks so festive, Rita! Thanks for the tour. Strange holidays it will be, but here's to weathering the storm, and wishing you (and the world!) better days ahead. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI am a frequent reader but never a commenter, but today must tell you how beautiful your Christmas displays are. And that early morning view with the tree ....gorgeous. It is especially beautiful to me as I am fighting Covid at home, so none of my Christmas pretties nor my tree, will be put up this year as I am a widow and live alone. Guess I am living thru all the gorgeous Christmas blogs instead. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteBless your heart! I've had a couple of exposure scares but can't imagine being alone and fighting COVID! I hope you have a network of friends who will at least check on you and drop off provisions. The blogging community may be virtual, but our friendships are real. Thank you for reaching out and commenting. I will pray for your complete recovery.
DeleteSo beautiful...calm, peaceful, joyful. Going to be just us home for Christmas, too. I am thinking I will not dwell on what is not happening, but enjoy the low key, quiet holiday. Merry Christmas !
ReplyDeleteAnn, thank you! I'm trying to just lean into the situation too. Decorating gave me all the feels. Merry Christmas to you, too!
DeleteSuch a lovely tour Rita. The balcony looks fabulous. Love the ballerina! That view is making. How special to sit there no take in all of the beauty. Your collections are lovely and I sure cherished with special memories. Have a happy week ahead.
ReplyDeleteHello Rita! Happy holidays to you! It’s been so long, but I think of you often and wanted to stop by and see how you’re doing. Glad to see you’re well!
ReplyDeleteYour condo is stunning, and the first shot of that gorgeous tree with the subtle dawn light shining took my breath away. Each and every picture exudes class and joy and truly made me smile.
I will try not to stay away so long next time ❤️ Stay well...
Rita, this was a lovely tour of your condo, the balcony and the view. I was happy to feature it in this weeks Friday with Friends!
