Welcome to my blog, Panoply, and welcome Spring! I am so very excited for Spring this year, for two reasons. First, Spring is absolutely my favorite season and, two, this year we are in a new home with a small landscape garden that I'll be able to play in again. But today, I'm bringing Blissful Signs of Spring / Easter indoors with a tablescape for you.
Today's tablescape is part of a Spring / Easter Tablescape Blog Hop I am hosting, with a fabulous group of bloggers who consistently deliver fresh inspiration. Be sure to check out all the participants' links near the end of this post for a quick hop, skip, and jump to each one!
There are so many subtle signs of spring, as each day grows longer. The earth quickens with bright plant movement, sprouting through the mulch and containers throughout the landscape, and bunnies are seen hopping through yards on daily walks. These are blissful signs of spring for me, announcing the new season. I wanted my table to reflect these blissful signs of spring, and so my theme began.
A couple years ago, I purchased a quilted table topper from blog friend Carole's sample sale. Carole is a master quilter who, lucky for me, was purging some of her inventory. I bought a set of Debbie Mumm salad plates that same year. It was only now (mostly because of Covid the past two years), that I started assembling different elements together for this table, and the collage below became my mood board.I didn't want to use a tablecloth with the topper, so I layered each place setting with two placemats (solid purple and bright green succulent leaf), added a charger and dinner plate, and finally the salad. Cute little napkin rings wired with eggs and flowers in an Easter basket were added to my purple napkins folded as bows. Purple crackle glassware was a natural choice for this table.
I had a set of guest crackers I'd bought on clearance and never used (also from a couple years ago), so I added those as favors.
I found a perfect little cyclamen plant at the grocery (that I can plant later) that worked for this table, adding another punch of color.
I changed the painting (recent vintage purchase from our antique mall) in the dining room for spring, too, and the overall look is cheerful and coordinated.
Voila! Blissful signs of Spring / Easter tablescape! Most of my tablescapes become part of my decor for each occasion I set them. This one makes me happy as I walk by the table each time, knowing that just outside the window there's a blissful sign of both spring and Easter surprising me daily. Here's something that's bound to make you happy. Rita, I’m oohing and aahing over your table with your creative use of color and pattern! Your Debbie Mumm bunny salad plates are adorable and I love how you paired them with your MKC Taylor ceramic plates! The mix of your bright green leaf and purple mats make the settings pop and are perfect paired with Carole’s quilted topper. Such sweet napkin rings and adorable bunny poppers too! Love your perfectly coordinated painting in the background. Signs of spring are later arriving for us with our cold snaps but welcome sights to behold too. As always it’s a treat to hop with you and join you at the table. Thank you so much for your organizing efforts. ♥ Hoppy Tuesday (=’.’=)
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Rita. I love seeing the signs of spring in your garden. Your peonies have a head start on mine, it seems. I love patterns and textures, and you have included both on your spring/Easter tablescape. The pairing of two placemats on the lovely quilted topper made by Carole is perfect. The Debbie Mumm bunny plates are so cute and paired with the MKC Taylor plates provide fabulous color. I agree with Mary, the painting in the background perfectly coordinates with your tablescape. It is always a treat to hop with you and thank you for being a gracious hostess and organizing the hops.xoxo

ReplyDeleteGorgeous Rita! I love the purples and greens and your napkin rings are adorable. I can never get enough of bunnies this time of year and oh those plates!!! I always look forward to the hops you host. There are just so many great ideas. Thank you! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteFirst off Rita, thank you so much for hosting this hop and for "helping" me out with my IT issues. I think I have neglected the housekeeping part of blogging and it is time to go down that 'garden path' so to speak. LOL
ReplyDeleteAs far as your table, I love how you change out your wall decor and how it picks up all the colors of your table. And if I hadn't seen the color purple on your table, I would have asked if you are well. Love Love Love purple. I also appreciate how you utilize everything such as your lovely cyclamen plant which you will plant in your new garden. That will give you pleasure for a long time. The quilt is so unique and a perfect base for your lovely plate stack. Debbie Mumm bunny plates are so cute too.
On another note,I am sure you have seen us advance to the Final Four, many of the games have been won on a lick and a promise...but I am hoping we might win at least another game....or two. LOL !!! Facing Nova will be difficult as the last time we faced them in a tournament, KU lost. ;( Hoping this time we will win.
Blessings my friend and thanks again for all your hard work in organizing these hops.
Kari @ Me and My Captain

Your blissful signs of spring table is darling. Love those Debbie Mumm bunny plates. Such a great plate stack. I am happy you have a garden to play in again. Early signs of spring have arrived. The purple addition is lovely Rita. Gotta love those cyclamen plants that come back every year. Such a gorgeous quilt and to use it as a tablecloth for your spring table is genius. I love it when things come together. Thank you again for organizing this fun blog hop. Always a pleasure Rita to hop along with you.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the white wood charger over a placemat! Clever!
ReplyDeleteRita, I like to gather items together and take a picture of it. It helps me think through the colors and how they play against each other. Like yours, it ends up being a collage of sorts. Your purples really jumped out of me and since its a regal color perfect for an Easter table. It must have felt good to finally use the pretty quilt and pair it up with the bunny plates, bunny crackers, plus the other pieces of green place mats and white wood chargers. Everything looks lovely on the table.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to your yard and all the plans for it. I just know it will look wonderful!
Thanks again for hosting another fun table hop. It's one of the best parts of blogging :)
hugs,
Rachelle
Beautiful table, and I love the quilted table square with all the pretty purples in it. Your plates are festive for Easter, too. Love your stack! And I didn't know that they made Easter crackers. ReplyDeleteYour quilted topper is so pretty, Rita, and then those two placemats with purple and green add such interest. I want some Easter crackers! Your new vintage painting looks perfect for Springtime. I must add that I love your cherub in the first picture!
ReplyDeleteRita, I can sense your joy with Spring arriving at your new home this year. I can feel your delight with every new happy flower that pops up from the ground. LOVE the first photo of that sweet angel heralding the joy of Spring, beside those happy daffodils. The colour palette of your table is lovely; all inspired from the lovely quilt topper. As always you have gathered each perfect plate...pretty.....to bring a smile to my face. Love, love, LOVE♡
ReplyDeleteRita, Your Spring tablescape is beautiful! I love the quilted topper paired with your plate stack. They are perfect together! Your bunny plates are so cute and I'm going to borrow your idea of using 2 placemats. Those green petal placemats are really adorable! Your new vintage painting is so pretty. I really like changing a painting for each season in a high trafficked area. It gives you a nice lift as you pass through. Thanks for all the inspiration! Enjoy your evening! Clara❤️
ReplyDeleteRita, I really admire how you put this lovely table setting together first with a mood board. The shapes, patterns and colors are lovely. It's nice how you acquired the topper and it looks lovely mixed with placemats. I enjoy using a topper occasionally. I love the garden direction with containers and sweet cherubs. I know you are back in your element wit the garden and spring is your season. Happy spring Rita!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, Rita! Shades of purple and green are one of my favorite design combos that I always enjoy. I liked that you used a handmade topper and a vintage bunny together with newer tableware. Of course I loved the bunny plates! I will now be on the hunt for a verdigris bunny, lol. I'm always interested in hearing how other stylists start a table -- there's so many ways of starting, isn't there? Thank you again for a superb job of organizing a fun blog hop!
ReplyDeleteRita, the colors of your table are exquisite! How special to have the quilted table topper handmade by a friend. Your Debbie Mumm plates add just the touch of whimsy that I like. Love the borders too! Of course the Aurora plates delight. Good Choice!!! Thanks for sharing this charming table, for organizing this wonderful blog hop, and for inviting me to join in. You are just the best! Happy Spring! Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun spring colors on your whimsical fun Easter tablescape.
ReplyDeleteI love those bunny plates!
Rita, I love all the wonderful shades of purple on your beautiful table! I adore your Debbie Mumm bunny plates!! You have pulled together everything this so nicely, right down to the purple crackle stemware. So pretty!!! Thank you so much for all the work you do putting these hops together. I appreciate all your time and effort. I hope you have a blessed Easter and a glorious spring!!🐣💜🌷
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy tablescape! I'm very glad you now have a yard again--and that it's a more manageable size so you can put both your master gardener and magnificent grandparent skills to use without either one being shortchanged. Happy Spring!
ReplyDeleteA really sweet and fun table Rita, and I love the colors and layering of details.
ReplyDeleteRita, your quilted table topper is amazing. I love how you paired the purple with a bright green. The Debbie Mumm bunny salad plates is a perfect choice to put together with a quilted table topper. A cozy country pair. How wonderful that you also found such a lovely art print. I feel totally immersed in your Spring plantings. Such a welcome sight. Here is Wisconsin there is nothing growing and we are expected 2-4 inches of snow. So your photos of blooming plants and bright yellow daffodils are such a heart warming pleasure. Happy Easter dear friend. God's blessings to you and your entire family.
ReplyDeleteRita, what a gorgeous table you have set! I love the vibrant purple of the quilt topper, and how the pattern draws the eye out to each place setting! The napkin rings are adorable, and I love your purple crackle glasses. I have been on the hunt for something similar with no luck locally! The Easter crackers are such a fun touch too! Cyclamen is my favourite flowering plant and was happy to see one on display! Your attention to detail by switching out the art work is such a great idea! Thank you for hosting and a very Happy Easter to you!
ReplyDeleteYour plate stack is just perfect! So happy to be home and have time to take the tour of all of the tables!
ReplyDeleteoh so pretty Rita!! I love how you've pulled out the purple and lavender from those adorable plates! That quilt topper is a real beauty; I'm such a fan of pieced quilt blocks. Are those Peonies coming up? They're one of my fave flowers but have never been able to grow them successfully. Something wild always eating them. Have a wonderful weekend, I'd love to see more of your lovely yard and garden! xo
ReplyDeleteBeautiful topper and table. Love all the spring color and your dinner plate is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely table Rita! I love the deep purple with the light green - those two colors just work so well together and seem to bring out the best in each other. And the Debbie Mumm plates are darling. But I think the real show stopper is that gorgeous quilted table topper - its just beautiful! I received a quilted table topper as a gift recently and have been wondering how best to style it. I love what you have done here and I'm going to pin it so I remember. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely table and the inspiration you have provided. Wishing you a very happy Easter!
