Welcome to Panoply! Today I am sharing my tablescape designed for Thanksgiving, and whether you're a new or longtime reader, I'm so glad you stopped by. This is a time of a Harvest of Thanks.
Not only am I happy to be sharing my own tablescape, but there are a group of table enthusiasts also sharing their creations. I am your host today of a Thanksgiving Tablescape Blog Hop. The list of stylists participating are conveniently linked at the end of this post to make it easy for a progressive intake!
My tablescape inspiration was two-fold for this Thanksgiving: knowing I had some fall decor items I wanted to use was the first. The brass pheasants and hurricanes with brass candlesticks were vintage finds from two separate estates. I kept the centerpiece simple by embellishing the brass pieces with a beautiful French wired autumn paisley ribbon, some lotus flower pods, feathers, and glass pumpkins & acorns.
I then added a set of pumpkin soup mugs to the place settings to drive home the rust colorway of the ribbon and plate colors. We always enjoy soup in mugs, and it lends itself to a more casual approach. Spoons are at the ready for those who choose to be more formal.
My Lenox and Ralph Lauren crystal deliver the classic, tailored look I love assembling my tables with. Together with the serving pieces, centerpiece metals and fire glow, I was satisfied with the overall look of the tablescape.

On that note, I want to also share the recently published Ralph Lauren A Way of Living - Home, Lifestyles, Inspiration book I bought. Ralph Lauren is celebrating 40 years since his Home Collection launch in 1983 with this publication. His style is simply impeccable in my eyes, whether it's Estate, Safari, Romance, Bohemian, Country, Seaside, Nautical, Adirondack, Downtown, Uptown, Speed or any future inspiration he may come up with.
I have several tablescaping items from the various RL home collections, most of which have been purchased on secondary markets. I could easily immerse myself wholly into any number of his styles. I love incorporating the items I have into my tablescapes.

Rita, I love your new Biltmore Harvest salad plates! They look so handsome framed with your RL Equestrian plates and pheasant placemats. The addition of your leopard napkin rings is such an unexpected and playful touch. Love the French-wire ribbon that swirls across the table as an mixed with your gold, glass, brass and feathers. My eyes immediately went to that gorgeous Johnson Brothers Harvest Fruit transferware platter in your collage…swoon! I’m assuming you found that in your estate shopping and antiquing. Ralph Lauren Equestrian dinner plates and pheasant placemats add the perfect fall vibes to your beautiful Thanksgiving table. The pumpkin mugs add more warmth to your table and their pop of color is pleasing to the eye. I agree with Mary, the JB transferware platter is swoon worthy. RL’s style always draws me in and I should purchase the book, but my book and plate addictions have left me with no more storage. I love all of the subtle touches to your table… French ribbon, polished brass, crystal glassware…combine for a classic style that RL would approve. Thank you for your tireless work in hosting. Of course your AC tablecloth was perfect for the beginning of your table setting. I have the pheasant placemats too and they make my heart sing as I remember all the pheasant hunts through the milo fields of the midwest. I don't believe there is nary a pheasant here in Florida. I also enjoy looking at your sideboard and table collections as you tie them in with your table styling so beautifully. I am checking out the Ralph Lauren book as a possible gift to me from me. This time of year is when horse shows are in full swing, and it reminds me of all the shows we've attended with our girls. The brass touches and rose gold flatware look fantastic together, and I also enjoyed seeing how you styled your shelves for fall. Thanks again for organizing these blog hops. The vintage plates are lovely and I would love to sip my soup from a pumpkin mug! I love the feathers in the centerpiece and the ambiance the candles create. Rita, this table and all its fabulous details sings to me. I have often featured pheasants on a holiday table, so I'm soaking in all your special touches. The ribbon, oh my! It is such an elegant, simple touch, and the vase of feathers is perfection. I keep a small vase of rooster feathers out year round. The bouquet was a gift from my sister when Monnie passed. She knows me so well! I will definitely be a copycat on using a vase of pheasant feathers on table with my pheasants plates. The salad plates you found are fabulous. The pattern is new to me, but I have salads in that RL pattern. I gave my set of Copeland Spode equestrian dishes to a friend, but kept my RL pieces and my Churchill Country Life plates. Your feather placemats are striking, and I need to remember to set my oval table with two side by side on either side. I like the way it looks! I may just go change my tabletop this morning. I need to learn to take a good overhead photo. I tried with little success! Your image is perfection! I've pinned several photos to reference for an upcoming table. They have such beautiful colors, details and take center stage in the table. What could go any better with the tablescape than your lovely selection of feathers, pheasant placemats, pumpkins, pinecones and lotus pods. It is an exquisite look with a mixture of cozy. The pumpkin mugs are a great idea for the warm and creamy soups. The brass candlesticks and hurricanes add such elegance to the table and I am sure can be used in future various designs. I adore the RL dinner plates, one of my favorites. Actually, I love most all things RL. I have the same glasses and use them everyday. The brass pheasants make a wonderful centerpiece along with the feathers. Oh I have to mention the placemats, beautiful along with the linen napkins and leopard napkins rings. Love how the mugs are the finishing touch. Perfection....... Happy November Rita.

Rita, I love the elegant simplicity of your table design! All the elements work together to create a relaxing celebration of fall. The pheasant feathers in the centerpiece and placemats had me from the start and I love their tie-in with the plates (which are wonderful on their own!).
