Welcome to Panoply! Today I am happy to share a table that is Transitioning to Welcome Fall. I hope you will stay awhile, because I am hosting fifteen additional stylists who are sharing ideas for the upcoming season with tablescaping ideas!
With the first cool morning last week that we've had in months, I was inspired to start packing away summer decor and get the seasonal transition beginning. I have never been so ready for fall, after experiencing the first summer of drought conditions in our West Virginia southern region in several years.
The vibrant colors in the flowers were intentionally chosen to complement my table setting elements. The salad plates used today made my heart skip a beat when I saw them on Anthropologie's website last year. The touch of leopard, along with those blooms - 💓💓- be still, my heart!
It wasn't until I made the graphic for this blog hop that I remembered the spiral runner in fall colors, which I had purchased back in 2015 (used in tablescapes here, here, and here). I really love this runner. (I also have a spiral runner my daughter made in Christmas seasonal textiles, used in this tablescape here).
I chose cordless, rechargeable table top lights for this occasion.We used this style lamp when living in our condo, and they're great for portability and use where outlets are impractical. Wanting to embellish with a bit of on-trend flair, I purchased (separately) woven shades with a scalloped edge for the lights. They work especially well for summer and fall, and also add a bit more texture for the tablescape.

Rita, what a fun foxy table! Always fun to see Reynard, and I suspect he is happy to join your fall table. Love the little wicker lamps. I totally understand drought conditions and a tired garden, we desperately need rain. The lamps with the wicker shades add a cozy ambiance to your table, perfect for autumn. I have always been a fan of Fitz & Floyd and Reynard adds a whimsical element to your table, I am sure he appreciated being set free from the bookcase. The Anthro plates are stunning, I somehow missed these last year. The spiral runner with its autumn colors is the perfect addition to transition from summer into autumn. It’s uncanny how the plates match your beautiful spiral quilted runner! Love the whimsy of Reynard the Fox at your table in your pitcher, cream and sugar. Your bird’s eye view shot shows how cozy your table is with your cordless lamps adding a soft glow and nice bit of ambiance. Love the texture of their scalloped shades to pair with your wheat floral box. Like you, I’m so ready to kick summer to the curb and welcome fall! We had a nice break last week from the heat and humidity but it’s back with a vengeance, getting warmer as the week progresses. ReplyDeleteOh Rita! What a perfectly cozy transition to autumn! Those cordless lamps caught my eye immediately, as I have been spying them here and there lately and really need to get a few! I love the plates from Anthropology too, and offsetting them is a brilliant idea and I think it looks fabulous done that way! I am so ready for fall to begin in earnest as it has been one very hot and humid summer up here in the 'North' with temps expected to reach 39 degrees celsius today. Using the cordless lamps is a brilliant idea to add ambient lighting to the table. I always enjoy the photos you take from above your tablescapes, they show the ultimate table design so well. It embodies the colors of Fall but adds a touch of fun to the table. the lamps were an inspired choice and I love those woven shades. I have not seen them before but they add so much texture to the table. the Anthropologie plates are fabulous and fun, another light touch to your tablescape. I'm a fan of Fitz & Floyd and really enjoyed seeing Mr. Fox sharing the table with your guests. A great way to start the Fall season, Rita.

From the first photo, I was entranced by the spiral table runner with its gorgeous pattern and mix of warm colors. I like the energy it brings to the table and how it adds another layer of texture with the rattan elements and florals. Of course I'm crazy about the F&F pieces! ReplyDeleteRita your table is lovely and the salad plates are right up my alley. I even wear a lot of leopard in my clothing guess it is my red hair. LOL. But I like it. I am envious of the over head shots that you do so well. I can't get high enough (I don't use a ladder as I am not steady enough.) I really like the lamp shades...I'm always looking for little shades and those add just the right texture to your table. I am so glad the little Fitz & Floyd Foxes came to the table. They are adorable. So sorry I missed the hop...next time for sure.
