Panoply 2021: It's a Wrap!

Once again the Christmas decor is packed away, and now it's time to collage all my blog posts for 2021 as a final step before closing the book, figuratively and literally, on 2021. Soon I'll have all my posts bound in a yearbook style format using Blog2Print (no affiliation, I just love the product and service).

I only blogged 24 posts (counting this one!) in 2021. That's even fewer than last year. I suppose I didn't feel I would be entertaining or informative enough to sustain your interest, so 24 it was. Plus, I found myself super busy by late summer with another move!

What you'll see below is a photo collage of each of my topics this past year, with individual post links below the photos if you're so inclined. Alternatively, if you click on each of those topics at the header of my blog, you'll see the list of the posts pulled for each of the categories. All of the collages are by topic categories, pulled from my main menu. It's just another way of keeping things organized. (If you're on a handheld device, go to the bottom and click on 'view web version' to see menu labels just below the header on my blog).

Tablescapes
In early 2021, I took over hosting a group of table enthusiasts who love creating tablescapes. We share a love of dishes and all table elements related, celebrating occasions throughout the year.
Chasing Winter Blues with Forest Greens, Party of Two, Please, An Unpretentious St. Patrick's Day Tablescape, Early Spring, Easter '21 Tablescape, Fun with Food and Flowers, Kings Corners for the Queen Bee, Summer Seaside Scenes Tablescape, A Few Good Friends in Group Chat Tablescape, Fall Garden Harvest Creatures Tablescape, hOWLoween Tablescape, Thankful, Forest Fantasy Holiday Tablescape
In 2021, we moved from our condo back to a home with a small garden, very near the neighborhood we downsized from in 2019. Three homes in three years - whew! I am very excited about our new (old) home, and accomplishing the move and landscape transformation in less than three months.

Traveling Totes

The traveling tote tribe continues to share its adventures each quarter. Mine was filled with mostly local adventures, the most significant being the birth of my first grandchild. A sudden family death had us traveling to Ohio in mid-summer.

Panoply Antiquing
Although my Panoply sisters and I have continued regularly to purchase for and stock our booth spaces at our local antique mall, I played catch up in sharing my finds from late 2020 to Spring 2021. I'm due for sharing finds since then, likely to happen sometime in early 2022.
Panoply Vintage Finds in Covid Times

In Spring 2021, Blogger discontinued Feedburner for blog subscriptions, so I took the opportunity to update my blog look. Covid shots in early 2021 allowed us perks of getting out again, plus getting free donuts at Krispy Kreme through all of 2021! Moving gave perspective to views from both sides of our neighborhoods, as well as some much needed assessing and organizing. And with the death of a sibling on Mr. P's side, we still found humor.

I continue to appreciate each and every one you, my readers, and love the friendships struck and continued through blogging. I hope those of you who read but don't always comment will feel welcome to do so anytime. I always try to visit blogs if you have one, and try to respond by email to comments. It's rare that I can't figure out who the commenter is or that I don't have a contact to reach you, but if so (and you're no-reply commenter), I'll leave a response on the post.

  2. I can't believe that you would ever have a post that wasn't entertaining, informative or fun -- or that you couldn't do one just about every day that would delight us! I'm so impressed with how you collage the photos at the end of the year and someday I'd like to touch base about how you do that with the links and all. It really is a fun way to pull things all together!

Have a wonderful and exciting new year in your new home. May you all be happy and healthy throughout the year. AND savor every little snuggle with your sweet Jacqueline!

  3. I am in awe at your organized and documented posts for your wrap! First, anything you post is always interesting, informative and fun. I've always wanted to have a shop so when you post your antiques and stalls it's so interesting for me. You certainly had a busy year and moved! It's fun watching you create your magic in the new home. I'm going back through and enjoy this post again. Wishing you a very Happy New Year!

  4. Rita, Happy New Year! I can't believe we've been living with Covid for 2 years now. I feel as though we've all been in limbo. It's the first time we haven't renewed our passports since there was a general feeling of no hope of leaving the country! We've enjoyed traveling through your blog posts. The birth of your granddaughter we know was the best highlight of all for your family. Loved all the vintage finds, tablescape ideas, and your new home! The traveling tote is always an enjoyable post. You had a very busy year! Looking forward to 2022 posts! Take care and stay safe. Clara❤️

  5. Rita, You’re so organized even in your year end collages and blog-to-print! What a fun look back...I'm dazzled by all the Courtly Check with your fellow toters and I still chuckle over Mr. P’s sister’s gym note. :) Looking forward to your antiquing updates in 2022. Wishing you and your family a Happy and Heathy New Year.♥

  10. Rita, it's so good to see that someone can stay organized these days! You had a BIG 2021, and I'm glad you're settling into your new home and able to start 2022 with hopefully some level of normalcy. "Normal" around here these days hasn't include blogging, and I do miss it, but we'll see what the new year holds. May God's richest blessings be yours as you continue to love on your sweet granddaughter, family, and those in your circle of influence. Happy New Year!

  12. Oh, Rita - you organized soul. I once was that way all the years I worked - I can't say that now. Perhaps, I should give that some thought. You had quite the year and I am so looking forward to photos of your new home and garden. They will be grand, I am certain.

Wishing you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year!

  13. Best wishes in 2022!

Our last day of 2021 saw us with a caved in ceiling in the kitchen due to a mis-connected water line in the ceiling. It happened at 1:30 am, so everyone was glad I was up! My brother is here to do the remodeling in the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and new flooring throughout the house. So, he cleaned up the mess and covered it with plastic so a cat, who likes to sit on the top of the fridge, won't go for a walk in the attic. Thank goodness my brother hasn't started on the kitchen! We all want to cry! But, it could have been worse.

  14. Rita, I have always been so impressed with your organizational skills, I applaud you! Your look back is most entertaining. The three different homes in three years boggles my mind, I would have had a serious melt down. I am most happy that you became a grandmother this year, it truly is the best. Happy New Year, my friend!

I DID get to spend Christmas with my family this year, which was pretty wonderful, although I was the only one in a mask. I so appreciate your friendship during this ridiculous last 2 years. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your new home. And how could we actually NOT find you entertaining and informative? Have a wonderful New Year, dear Rita!!

  16. Happy New Year Rita! I always look forward to your annual collage post. You are the most organized person I know! You should have seen Joe fumbling when he was putting his end of year video together. He said "we" need to organize all our photos that we take in 2022. I'll have to show him this. xo
